Quick note on Tofu: You may or may not have noticed that if I miss an update, say, Friday’s, the next update won’t go up until (at the earliest) the following Friday. I do this for writing purposes. Took a panel from Nomad Tofu number 86 and made it pretty… mostly to see what Barkana looks like colored and to do something for Sketch Monster *ahem*. Because I am (re)committed!

Speaking of said number 86, as of now I have 2 panels left to ink and I am ZONKED OUT, so it’ll likely get finished tonight sometime when I get home from my other job. I’ve figured out that it more or less takes me an hour to ink 1 panel (the above prolly took 20 minutes or something). Comic coming up has 9 panels, so I would wager with the x amount of work that goes into it the thing prolly takes ten hours to do, and I’m 8 hours or so in.. though honestly it’ll wind up taking me 3 hours to finish, so either drop the 8 to a 7 or 10 to an 11… MATH?! I dunno, it takes a long freakin’ time. Too long, but I think the results speak for themselves.

Or not (they totally do, shut up Zombie-Tired-Harry).

Bought some dollar store fingerpaints over the weekend and got my hands dirty. It was fun, there was beer involved, and tiki goblets.

Finally set up my new wacom (intuos4, small). It’s gonna take some getting use to (the actual pad is great, not too keen on the express keys/touch-ring… yet), but the end result should be worth it. Certainly an upgrade over my worn intuos3 4×5.

Ryan Estrada has been a ‘hero of work’ these past few days. Ryan has been churning out a jaw-dropping amount of free commissions in exchange for votes for his story in this month’s ZUDA. He’s been drawing for everyone else, and I thought it’d be nice to do something for him! Appreciate the work, Ryan, keep rockin’!
