So, as I mentioned last week I’ve kinda been all over Super Street Fighter 4. To keep track of the crap you can unlock in said game I’ve been using the actual booklet thing. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I’VE EVER USED/WRITTEN IN ONE. EVER. I don’t know what that means, but when I finally unlocked all the costumes and taunts I drew Pub to celebrate.

Because I am a cartoonist. And a nerd.

My computer/the program still runs a bit too slow to allow this to work for my actual pages (which sucks, I really need an upgrade), but I decided to try sketching to test it. Definitely felt the lag, and I kinda just crapped out Herb real quick, but, still, kinda cool, right! It’s like a ten minute video, and uses the following songs:

Basically the same deal as Wednesday – here’s a preview of today’s comic that will most likely be up tonight sometime (unlike Wednesday, it actually will go up pretty late, instead of say, noon.)

Also of note, I’m scaling Sketch Monster to 5-days a week, so see ya’ Monday.

Took a panel from Nomad Tofu number 86 and made it pretty… mostly to see what Barkana looks like colored and to do something for Sketch Monster *ahem*. Because I am (re)committed!

Speaking of said number 86, as of now I have 2 panels left to ink and I am ZONKED OUT, so it’ll likely get finished tonight sometime when I get home from my other job. I’ve figured out that it more or less takes me an hour to ink 1 panel (the above prolly took 20 minutes or something). Comic coming up has 9 panels, so I would wager with the x amount of work that goes into it the thing prolly takes ten hours to do, and I’m 8 hours or so in.. though honestly it’ll wind up taking me 3 hours to finish, so either drop the 8 to a 7 or 10 to an 11… MATH?! I dunno, it takes a long freakin’ time. Too long, but I think the results speak for themselves.

Or not (they totally do, shut up Zombie-Tired-Harry).

So, if you follow at all you’ll note that Nomad Tofu’s update schedule has been in shambles for, well, a long freaking time. And it sucks, but I’m dealing with my own shit, ya’ know? It gets done when it does, anyway, point is slowly but surely I AM working on it. Here’s a teaser for what’s coming next Monday, let the speculation begin! >:D

Another Tofu illustration. Still needs color and I have no idea how to portray the portal. In the actual strips I use a halftone, but that hasn’t been translating well with color. I’ll figure it out…
