Last night I caught a new promo image of the upcoming series of Doctor Who.  I absolutely LOVE the new vortex (if that’s what they’re using for the title screen, which I assume).  It’s got the classic-series vibe but it’s also completely modern and beautiful.  It seems like Steven Moffat (who took over the series from the 2005-2009 run of Russell T. Davies) is really embracing the past, while at the same time taking the many great cues the newer series left for ‘em.  I for one CANNOT wait for the new series to begin.  Can.  Not.  Wait!
